How to Place an Advert/CV:
Before you can advertise yourself or your music equipment free with musicserve.net, you must first log in. If you do not have a username and password to allow you to log in, you must first register (See how to register). Once you have registered you merely go to either Place and Ad, which can be found in the menu bar on each page then click on the relevant circular option, or use the circular options on the home page. You will be prompted for the details of you advert, use the drop down options where applicable and enter free text in all other areas. Once completed go to the bottom of the page and press the “Go Sell” button. If you would like to have your advert emailed out to prospective buyers, or have a picture or MP3 with your advert, this is called Max-Up! (See how to Max-Up your ad).
How to Max-Up your Ad:
Its easy! – Simply follow the procedure for placing an advert, then tick the Max-Up my Ad box. To include a picture or MP3 use the browse button to find this on your computer. Then click the “Go Sell” button.

How to Have your Advert Emailed Out:

How to Edit Your Advert:
If you would like to Edit/change any of the information contained in your advertisement, such as price or description, then click on the “My Account” button, which can be found on the menu bar on every page. Next click on the “View/edit your Adverts” button. This will bring you to a page listing all your present adverts, simply click on the “edit this Ad” button next to the relevant advertisement. Here you can alter any of the details you placed in the original advertisement. This facility only allows you to update your advert once.
How to Check Your musicserve.net Account:
Click on the “My Account” button which can be found on the menu bar at the top of every page. Here you can “View/edit your advert details”, “Update contact details” and “Customise what you are emailed”.
How to Register:
Simply click on the “Register” button, which can be found on the menu bar at the top of each page. You will be prompted to enter your details some of which are compulsory and others are optional.
How to Search for an Advert:
You can either click on the “Find Stuff” button, which can be found in the menu bar on each page then click on the relevant circular option, or use the circular options on the home page. You will be prompted for the details of your search, use the drop down options where applicable and enter free text in all other areas and then click on the “search” button. A list of search results will appear, if you want to see further information click on the “more info” button on the relevant advert. If you wish to see the contact details then you must first be logged in and registered (See How to Register).
How to use the “adverts by email” facility to receive the latest advertisements:
Before you can use this facility you must first of registered and logged in. Then click on the email link found at the bottom of each page and enter your search criteria. Remember this facility can be switched on or off at any time and the criteria of your search changed as often as you like.
How to Change the Search Criteria:
If you would like to Edit/change any of your search criteria, such as style or type, then click on the “My Account” button, which can be found on the menu bar on every page. Next click on the “Customise what you are emailed” button. This will bring you to a page listing all your present searches, simply click on the “edit this search” button next to the relevant search. Here you can alter any of the details you placed in the original search.
How to turn the email facility off:
If you would like to turn off the email facility, then click on the “My Account” button, which can be found on the menu bar on every page. Next click on the “Customise what you are emailed” button. This will bring you to a page listing all your present searches, simply click on the “Turn Off” button next to the relevant search.
